GTFO requires teamwork to solve puzzles, and for finding items. The players must gather resources to survive, and work to unearth the answers about the past and how to escape. Complicating the process is the presence of hideous monsters, who have overrun the whole area. GTFO players form a team of four scavengers who are forced to explore the vast underground complex while searching for valuable artifacts. Go quietly or face an onslaught of monsters who will stop at nothing to kill you. You will have to procure ammunition and other essential survival tools onsite. Holster and Move Quiet Stealth is key to surviving the Complex. A strategic approach is needed if anyone is going to emerge from the Complex alive. Knowing what gear to take, what boosters to use, and how each prisoner will function within the team is vital to success. In 2022, there are even more co-op games with titles like Redfall, so it remains to be seen just how GTFOwill stack up.Survive Exploring the Complex takes planning before you even drop. Back 4 Blood has big plans for its future and Aliens: Fireteam Elite is only just getting started with its seasonal content. As of right now, GTFO has a lot of competition that it has to contend with. 1.0 already comes with some new content and improvements, so hopefully, there's more to come in the future. Now that the game is actually officially out, it's likely 10 Chambers will support the game with additional post-launch content. If not, it's unclear what GTFO's future will be. The game has had a sub-1000 player count in the back half of 2021, but perhaps this move will allow the game to have a second life. Over the last six months, GTFO has largely failed to retain a healthy amount of concurrent players. It may struggle to hold players' attention, especially as co-op shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite comes to Xbox Game Pass later this month.
